Primrose Farm is staffed by well-trained, seasoned professionals. Currently, Primrose has two full-time staff members, a handful of year-round and seasonal part-time staff members and volunteers.

Alison holds a Bachelor of Music from Bowling Green State University and is an Illinois certified teacher. She taught music, band, and chorus in the public schools for 10 years before getting started in the recreation field. Alison was previously employed by Fox Valley Park District’s Blackberry Farm for 7 years before she took over at Primrose Farm in May 2016. She continues to teach band with the Fox Valley Orchestra’s El Sistema program, which provides music instruction to at-risk youth. Alison is a lifelong animal lover and is excited to educate people about the animals at Primrose Farm.
Emily graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Illinois University with a major in Liberal arts. She has been working for the St. Charles Park District for 6 years in both the Parks and Recreation Departments. After finishing out an Internship and volunteer program at Cosley Zoo in Wheaton, Emily was hired on to the Primrose Farm staff as their Farm Program Supervisor. She is looking forward to working with the St. Charles community to create a broader volunteer base, and implement more unique innovative programs that bring humans and animals closer together.
