As winter winds down, farms begin to bustle with activity. Babies are born, planting begins and spring cleaning starts. Help the Primrose Farmers ready the farm for warmer weather! Shell corn, grind feed, prepare the garden for planting and assist with household chores. Ages 15 & under must be accompanied by an adult.

Sit & Stitch

While working on your next stitching project, visit with a different farm animal each week! A peaceful evening in the pasture offers a relaxing atmosphere to complete your masterpiece and meet new friends. All experience levels and needlework mediums welcome. Beginning level instruction will be provided. Bring your own materials.

Goat Yoga

Farmyard Fitness Relay Day

Test your farm strength and spring into a new workout routine with our relay day! Contestants will get their heart rates rising across our one mile relay course as they confront several farmyard obstacles. After crossing the finish line, receive a champions’ medal, enjoy some healthy snacks, and hydrate with friends and family outside of the barn.

Coffee & Cows Playgroup

Need an excuse to get out of the house? Come socialize with other parents while your little farmer plays! Each playgroup will be hosted by a Primrose Farmer and will feature a barnyard tour and either a story, craft or activity in the Summer Kitchen. Snacks and beverages will be available for little farmers. After the playgroup, stick around to walk a nature trail, take pictures on a vintage tractor or take a turn on the tire swing. Please register all children; parents do not need to register.

Intro to Blacksmithing

Learn the basics of shaping metal in this introductory class on blacksmithing. Students will learn basic safety and use hammer and anvil to practice rudimentary blacksmith processes while making several projects to take home. Tools and materials will be provided. Participants should wear closed toe shoes, long pants and should bring leather work gloves if desired. Safety glasses will be provided and are required during this class. Participants must be age 18 or over.

Animal Sweets & Treats

Become a farm animal’s very best friend in our hands-on program! Students will learn how to make healthy treats for our animals, along with some great recipes for their pets at home. The program will conclude with a tour of the farm, where we will feed our fresh treats to our eager and friendly livestock.
