New this year at Springtime On the Farm–sheep shearing! Austin Brockmann of Brockmann Shropshires and Oxfords will be providing a sheep shearing demonstration. Austin currently attends Rock Valley College and will be transferring to University of Illinois in the fall to study Agri-Accounting. Austin has received many awards through FFA and 4-H, and he and his family show their champion sheep both locally and nationally. We are excited to have Austin share his knowledge with us! Hands-On Milking has a tentative start date of June, and Hold Your Horses will start as soon as the weather gets a little bit warmer and all the ice is gone from the farmyard. Primrose Farm welcomed two new lambs on Friday, December 28th. Mama Mary is doing a great job of taking care of her twin ewes, Dolly and Patsy. Stop by our sheep house and visit these adorable babies and all their friends Monday through Saturday from 8am-3pm.

Offered the first three Fridays and Saturdays in October, Moonlight Hayrides feature a wagon ride around our farm fields, bonfire with marshmallow roast, and hot chocolate or cider.
