Our popular Hands-On Milking drop-in class will resume this Wednesday, June 6 at 10am. Registration is done on-site in the farm office. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to register; cost is $5 for St. Charles Park District residents and $8 for non-residents.

Have you ever wondered how sheep are shorn? Stop by Primrose Farm on Tuesday, May 8th for our sheep shearing demonstration. Lisa Carpenter from Kline Creek Farm will be here to show how to shear without electricity–using only blade shears, she will give our four Shropshire ewes their summer haircuts!

Did you know that a cow won’t produce milk until she has a calf? Our mama cow, Peanut, is due to deliver her calf on or around June 1. As a result, our Hands-On Milking class that normally starts in our spring season will be postponed until summer.
