Do you have a farm animal lover or a tractor fanatic with a birthday coming up? Let Primrose throw them a Barnyard Bash birthday party!
Dress up in your overalls, boots and bandanas for some fabulous and festive farm fun. Parties include an interactive party host, guided farm animal tour, tractor-drawn hayride, set-up and clean-up.
Our 90 minute party packages are divided into three segments:
1. Gather & Eat
Start out your visit with lunch, dinner or just dessert. Bring your own food, drinks and dishware or upgrade to a premium package and we’ll take care of all the details.
2. Farm Animal Tour
After your guests finish eating, a Primrose farmer will take you on a private tour of the farmyard. Meet all the animal residents – cows, horses, chickens, donkeys, goats and sheep!
3. Tractor-Drawn Wagon Ride
End your adventure with a scenic wagon ride around the fields and fencerows.
Parties are available weekdays and Saturdays April through October. To reserve a date or for more details, call 630-513-4370.

Birthday Party FAQs:
Parties are available weekdays and Saturdays April through October. Most parties take place on Saturdays either over lunch time or in the late afternoon. We’ve also had guests really enjoy Friday evening parties!
Parties are held either in the Summer Kitchen, under a picnic pavilion or at picnic tables in the farmyard. Farmers are happy to show you around the farmyard and discuss the various options with you ahead of your party.
Yes to both! The Primrose farmers typically put up a large birthday banner with your child’s name on the side of the Summer Kitchen. We also put out tablecloths. If you’d like to bring streamers, balloons or other decorations, you’re more than welcome to.
Of course! We regularly have folks bring salads, fruit or veggies to go with their pizza and cake party.
You’re welcome to open gifts during the “Gather & Eat” segment of the party. Many families also take presents home to open later as that allows the birthday child and their guests to more fully enjoy their time at the farm.
Our parties run rain or shine, but don’t worry about a little rain ruining your special day! If the weather turns sour, we will make sure you have a dry place to eat. Your Farmer will also do their best to ensure your group spends most of the animal tour inside our various barns and buildings. Plus, because wagon rides are no fun in the rain, we’ll set up an alternative to the tractor-drawn wagon ride segment of the program – indoor yard games, sensory bins, crafts, etc.
Note – We do recommend bringing raincoats or umbrellas for walking between buildings. Rain boots are also encouraged!
